چکیده
This research describes the results of anaerobic digestion gelatine as a potential hydrogen source with heat-shocked inoculum. The concentrations applied were VSS (volatile suspended solids) ranging from 10 g VSS/L to 30 VSS/L. initial process pH was 5.5, and, depending on concentration, reached values 7.5 7.8 after 55 days. Although inoculum in collagen, that occurred hydrogenotrophic digestion. In below VSS/L, production dominant only during first 5 days experiments. Then, there change dark fermentation methane production. optimal and yields resulted (7.65 mL ± 0.01 H2/g 3.49 L CH4/g VSS). Additionally, had lowest accumulated emission sulphide (10.3 H2S), while (0.440 0.01mL H2S/g VSS) produced yield. After lag time, grew specific ratio, concentration. sulphur added analysis proved originating biogas created by bacteria remains longer than substrate.

Comparative metagenomics of biogas-producing microbial communities from production-scale biogas plants operating under wet or dry fermentation conditions
BACKGROUND Decomposition of biomass for biogas production can be practiced under wet and dry fermentation conditions. In contrast to the dry fermentation technology, wet fermentation is characterized by a high liquid content and a relatively low total solid content. In this study, the composition and functional potential of a biogas-producing microbial community in an agricultural biogas reacto...
متن کاملDeeply sequenced metagenome and metatranscriptome of a biogas-producing microbial community from an agricultural production-scale biogas plant
BACKGROUND The production of biogas takes place under anaerobic conditions and involves microbial decomposition of organic matter. Most of the participating microbes are still unknown and non-cultivable. Accordingly, shotgun metagenome sequencing currently is the method of choice to obtain insights into community composition and the genetic repertoire. FINDINGS Here, we report on the deeply s...
متن کاملMicrobial Community Shifts during Biogas Production from Biowaste and/or Propionate
Propionate is the most delicate intermediate during anaerobic digestion as its degradation is thermodynamically unfavorable. To determine its maximum possible degradation rates during anaerobic digestion, a reactor was fed Monday to Friday with an organic loading rate (OLR) of 12/14 kg CODbiowaste·m-3·d-1 plus propionate up to a final OLR of 18 kg COD·m-3·d-1. No feed was supplied on weekends a...
متن کاملEffects of organic loading rate on biogas production from macroalgae: Performance and microbial community structure.
Macroalgae biomass has been considered as a promising feedstock for biogas production. In order to improve the efficiency of anaerobic digestion (AD) of macroalgae, semi-continuous fermentation was conducted to examine the effects of organic loading rate (OLR) on biogas production from Macrocystis pyrifer. Results showed that, under OLRs of 1.37, 2.74, 4.12 and 6.85kgVSsubstrate/(m3·d), the ave...
متن کاملMicrobial biogas production from hydrolysis lignin: insight into lignin structural changes
Background The emerging cellulosic bioethanol industry will generate huge amounts of lignin-rich residues that may be converted into biogas by anaerobic digestion (AD) to increase the output of energy carriers from the biorefinery plants. The carbohydrates fraction of lignocellulosic biomass is degradable, whereas the lignin fraction is generally considered difficult to degrade during AD. The o...
